Growing up between California and Arizona, I spent much of my childhood outdoors—immersed in imagination, fantasy novels, and storytelling. Whether I was reenacting scenes from Peter Pan, racing through neighborhoods on roller skates, or hiding away in the branches of a tree with a book in hand, creativity shaped the way I experienced the world from an early age.
Literature became both an escape and an inspiration. I was deeply influenced by stories such as The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, and The Spiderwick Chronicles, all of which sparked a lifelong love for fantasy, wonder, and emotionally driven storytelling. I also developed a deep appreciation for classic literature and continue to love reading fiction today. Some of the authors and stories that have stayed with me most are Jane Austen, Emily Brontë, Lucy Maud Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables, and Little Women.
Over time, my passion for reading naturally evolved into writing. I began creating stories with the hope of offering others the same sense of comfort, adventure, and connection that books once gave me. Storytelling, to me, has always been about creating moments that make people feel seen, inspired, and hopeful.
The three greatest influences in my life have always been my faith, family, and friendships. Above all, my relationship with God has been the foundation of both my creativity and my purpose as a writer. I’ve always believed that creativity is a gift meant to be used with intention, guided by the idea that, “Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.”
